First Time Visitors & Frequently Asked Questions

What do you believe?

We believe Jesus was God’s son and died for our sins. We believe in the Holy Spirit. We believe in living our lives through God’s love and spreading the good news.

What can I expect as a Sunday visitor for the first time?

Our service starts at 11 am every Sunday so plan to arrive around 10:55 am, park in either the side or front parking lot and enter through the front main double doors where you will be greeted and welcomed by our Associate Pastor. If you’re late a no worries, slip in the back. Grab a seat anywhere you feel most comfortable - no assigned seats! Restrooms are behind the front of the church to the left.

Do you have childcare?

Yes! We have a nursery for children ages 0-5 and a children’s service for those ages 5-10. Ask your greeter for details (or just leave after the children’s sermon and take your kiddos back to the teacher in the education building) as our nursery and children sermon is a fun time for all.

When do I sit and stand throughout the service?

You can sit, stand or do a little of both. We want you to be comfortable and welcome.

What about communion?

We do communion on the 5th Sunday of the month and you are welcome to partake. Our process is adjusted for COVID but we do individual bread and juice cups and visit the alter after receiving communion in prayer.

Do you host baptisms, weddings, funerals, and facility (including ballfield) rentals?

Yes! Contact the pastor for details. We extend this ministry to members and nonmembers. For nonmembers there is a fee associated with cost of the building, rental, insurance and pastor / housekeeping time. We do ask that you clean up after yourself.

What is Our Affiliation?

As of January 1, 2024, we joined the Global Methodist family. We are excited about the path forward for our community.

Where are the restrooms?

They are to the left of the pastor pulpit through the brown doors in the front of the church. You can always walk around the church if needed and to be more comfortable as we are an older building and a bit narrow. Additionally, there are larger restrooms in both the education building and fellowship hall.

What is Kids Jam?

Kids Jam stands for Jesus and Me. It’s right after the children’s sermon Sunday morning and the kiddos go to the fellowship hall for a special service during the sermon. Parents pick up the kids after the service is over in the fellowship hall. There are always two adults for Kids Jam to ensure safety of our littlest ones.

What is a tithe?

A tithe is giving back to the Lord at 10 percent of your income. It goes to continuing our mission and remaining a vibrant church community. You can tithe online or in person as you leave.

Do you have a youth group?

Yes! We meet the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 4 pm together with a church in Virginia. In person and via Google Meet.

We are the church.
